the reason i dropped paint tool sai at the time was because my main computer just… broke, and i had to switch to using my macbook for art and everything else. they have a great brush system too, lotsa default ones that you can download, there are a few custom one’s made by people online you can find, and creating them yourself is super simple too.īut i think one of the main reasons i switched to medibang was because it functioned well across a bunch of operating systems. the team/creators behind the program also have a great and very well established online community and consistently release updates and new features (all pretty much for free) that keep the program running really smoothly. but because of that i feel like its a lot less buggy and more adaptable. medibang is actually free, as opposed to being free-through-illegit-means like paint tool sai is (i mean come on, i honestly don’t think i’ve met anyone who’s actually paid for it).
